Caterham Day Nursery & Pre-School is rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and provides a caring and nurturing environment for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. Our nursery is all on one level and split into four age groups. Each room is equipped with premium quality, age-appropriate resources and the children have immediate access to our amazing outdoor environment at all times.

At Caterham, we want to make sure your child feels happy and secure when you leave them with us, which is why we offer up to eight weeks worth of free settling in sessions tailored to your child.

We have been awarded the Surrey Quality Assurance accreditation, which enabled our childcare practitioners to raise standards in day care and education beyond the minimum requirements set by Ofsted.

Meet the Team

Lisa Woodley

Lisa has worked for Asquith Nurseries and Caterham Day Nursery & Pre-School since leaving college in 1997 with her NNEB. After a small gap working two summer seasons at holiday camps, she returned and has been with us ever since. Lisa has progressed from being a shy Nursery Nurse to a more confident Assistant Manager in 2009. Her own child attended the nursery and as such has seen the nursery from both staff and parental perspective, giving her a greater empathy with new and current parents.

Natalie Lloyd-Evans

Natalie came to Caterham Day Nursery & Pre-School in 2014, after completing a degree at University in Drama and performance studies. Since starting at the nursery, Natalie has also completed an NVQ 3 in Childcare Studies and stepped into the position of Pre-School Room Leader. She has gained experience when partaking in various work placements based in school environments giving her the knowledge needed to support the Pre-School children developing their school readiness. Natalie is willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities and has built a good rapport with the families attending.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
