Active Learning JW3

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Located in the JW3 building, Active Learning JW3 provides care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. As well as being equipped with specialist studios, such as an IT studio and a science lab, the nursery embraces Jewish traditions, but is open to all. Our rooftop garden provides lots of outdoor learning activities and our Kosher chef provides nutritional, well-balanced meals using fresh ingredients.

Meet the Team

Susan Sacks

I am a dedicated childcare professional with over 25 years of experience in the early years having initially qualified as a Montessori teacher. After working in many different settings over the years I recently enhanced my practical knowledge by completing a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood (with the Montessori pedagogy) followed by a Degree in Education.

I believe in treating each child as an individual and that good quality education puts the needs of the child at the heart of its practice and therefore with this in mind I will endeavour to ensure that your child receives the best nursery experience possible.  I look forward to welcoming you to our wonderfully equipped and welcoming nursery in the JW3 building.

Saharish Saeed

I gained my National Vocational Qualification in Children's Care, Learning and Development in 2007. Prior to this I graduated with a BA in Fashion Design.

I joined Bright Horizons in 2010, where I  began my journey as Head of Room for Pre-School.  I enjoyed supporting children's learning and development whilst working in partnership with parents, supporting families and leading a small team. In May 2013 I became Third in Charge, this allowed me to lead a larger team within the nursery in the absence of the deputy manager.  In November the same year I became Deputy Manager.

I am passionate about childcare and thrive on providing a safe, educational, home away from home environment where children can learn and develop whilst enjoying their time at nursery.

I thoroughly enjoy my interactions with children and will often be found with a group participating in an activity, whilst supporting and motivating my staff team in providing exceptional experiences for the children within our care.

I am committed in providing a culture of behavioural safety and an environment of Keeping Everyone Safe.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
