4th May is International Firefighters Day; an annual event to remember those who have died whilst serving their community and protecting the safety of us all. We also can also use the date to show our support and appreciation to the firefighters around the world who continue to protect us.
Our nurseries across the country love having a visit from the fire brigade! It is a great way for children to learn about fire safety and see the big fire engine! Our number one priority is Keeping Everyone Safe, so we use our health and safety mascot, Candy Floss, to help the children understand the importance of fire safety.
Recently, our nursery in Wandsworth got to meet the local fire brigade. The children loved meeting the firefighters, and got to try on the fire helmets. They also got to use the water hose on the fire engine!
