The first week of June is Child Safety Week in the UK, and with the help of our safety superhero Candy Floss, our nurseries always go above and beyond to ‘Keep Everyone Safe.’ We are the only large childcare provider to have been awarded the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Gold Award, year on year since 2012! To celebrate and recognise how important child safety is to us at Bright Horizons, we are hosting a Keeping Everyone Safe Open Week from 6th – 10th June!
Here are just a few stories from our nurseries with what they have been up too in recent weeks in the build up to Child Safety Week.
The preschool children at Wishing Willow Nursery and Preschool in Banstead have been talking about people who help us. They took part in role play, matching games and even had a visit from a fireman and a policewoman. They got to try on uniform – and of course Candyfloss did as well!
After a week of fun packed Super Hero inspired activities the children at Little Stars Nursery Rothamsted were thrilled when two super heroes came to pay them a visit yesterday. Spider man and our very own Candy Floss. The children loved learning all about Candy Floss and how he keeps the children safe throughout the nursery.
The children from our KU Millhouses Nursery in Sheffield were recently given safety sticks to take home, allowing our safety superhero Candy Floss to help keep them safe outside of the nursery.
The children from Active Learning Finchley have made a lovely eco-house for our safety superhero Candy Floss! Looks like he's all set for our upcoming Keeping Everyone Safe Open Week.
The children from our Tytherington Nursery in Macclesfield set up their own doctors surgery recently with the help of our beloved Candy Floss.
