Milton Keynes nursery children conduct science experiment
Date: 08 Nov 2019
Children at Bright Horizons Witan Gate Day Nursery and Preschool in Milton Keynes recently conducted a science experiment involving bicarbonate of soda and vinegar.
The children were amazed to see the mixture volcano out of the experiment pot and fizz out onto the tray. They used powder paints to make it more exciting and each chose the colours they wanted to use.
“The children took turns and waited nicely while discussing with each other the colours they were using and what was going to happen,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Amy Potter. “They got very excited and were encouraging each other during the experiment.”
The experiment was part of Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists programme which aims to help children identify scientific activities that occur in their everyday lives.
