Banstead nursery children use gingerbread for science experiment
Date: 04 Oct 2019
Children at Bright Horizons Banstead Day Nursery and Preschool recently took part in a science experiment testing gingerbread in different substances.
“We used oil, water, vinegar and milk,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Ali Hunter. “The children used their fine motor skills to use pipettes to cover each gingerbread with the liquid. They then observed what happened to each biscuit and discussed the effects with their friends.”
The activity was part of Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists programme which helps children identify scientific activities that occur in their everyday life.
