Children at Bright Horizons Guildford Day Nursery and Preschool were excited to receive a visit from colleagues at the veterinary school, based at the University of Surrey, earlier this week.

They planned and carried out 3 activities which included learning about bones and skeletons and then using black t-shirts to draw their own bones, learning how to be a vet by placing bandages on toy animals and learning about the importance of hygiene.

“Children aged between 2 and 4 years old took part in these activities linking to our Growing Scientists programme within Bright Horizons,” said Nursery Manager Leah Dyer. “They all had a very enjoyable time learning new things and helping animals to feel better.”
