Children at Bright Horizons Timperley Day Nursery and Preschool in Cheshire have been developing their manipulative skills by cutting spring flowers, leaves and twigs using scissors.
The children enjoyed cutting the items and also talked about the smell from the flowers and leaves as they did so.
“This type of activity helps to develop the skills they need for writing and supports them to get ready for school,” said Nursery Manager Janette Schenk.
