An open day was held recently at Bright Horizons 24 St Swithin in Aberdeen to launch the new Growing Readers Room within the nursery, which has been named the Book Nook.

The room was designed by children, parents and staff and will be used by the families within the setting, creating a unique learning opportunity for everyone.

“At the launch we invited an Osborne book representative Claire Machray to cut the ribbon and open the room,” said Nursery Manager Helen Stevenson. “We had a competition for the best outfit, Osborne books to purchase, storytelling     and craft activities. We also had a prize for the best costume which went to Selena who was dressed as Little Red Riding Hood. She received a dinosaur book.”
