Staff and children at Bright Horizons The Treehouse Early Care and Education Centre in Aberdeen received a visit from the Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning on Friday, as part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week.

Kevin Stewart MSP arrived in the Granite City to speak specifically to Bright Horizons apprentices working at the nursery, which is located at Robert Gordon University and works in partnership with Aberlour Futures on its apprenticeship programme.

“We were absolutely delighted to receive a visit from Mr Stewart and appreciate him taking time out of his busy schedule to be with our vibrant, aspiring apprentices,” said Nursery Manager Fiona McQueen. “The visit was a great opportunity for us to illustrate the exceptional care and education that takes place inside our nursery each and every day. Our apprentices also appreciated the opportunity to talk to Mr Stewart more about his role in the Scottish Parliament.”
