Children at Bright Horizons Church Crookham Day Nursery and Preschool recently took part in a mini volcano activity, as part of the organisation’s Growing Scientists enhancement.

Watched on by Bright Horizons’ health and safety mascot Candy Floss, the children used bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to create mini explosions.

“The children all had a turn and were extremely excited to watch it fizz and wizz,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Shanice Hall. “They shared the resources and took turns having a go.”

Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists enhancement aims to help children identify scientific activities that occur in their everyday lives.
