Aberdeen nursery children discover ice

Date: 01 Feb 2019

Children at Bright Horizons St Swithin Early Learning and Childcare in Aberdeen recently discovered ice outdoors, as the wintry weather rolls on.

The children began to handle the ice and quickly observed how it started to melt as they did so.

“Following a lot of discussion, we decided to carry out an experiment to find out exactly how the ice is formed,” said Nursery Manager Caroline Fenton. “The children added treasure they found around the garden and placed it in the tray along with water. It was then left overnight to see if it would freeze.”
