Leeds nursery children take part in RSPB bird watch

Date: 01 Feb 2019

Children at Bright Horizons Leeds Day Nursery and Preschool recently took part in the RSPB Great British bird watch in the nursery garden.

The children enjoyed using binoculars to observe the bird and spoke of how the birds would soon need food.

“Candy Floss (Bright Horizons health and safety mascot) supported the children in selecting suitable and safe food for the birds to eat and the children to handle,” said Nursery Manager Fiona Stewart. “They bound the seed and worms together using lard. The children then hung the feeders in the trees for the birds to eat.”
