Children at Bright Horizons Church Crookham Day Nursery and Preschool recently took part in a science experiment involving a mini volcano explosion.

Staff helped children use bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to create the explosions, as they were watched on by Bright Horizons’ health and safety mascot Candy Floss. The experiment was also part of the organisation’s Growing Scientists enhancement which helps children to identify scientific activities that occur in their everyday lives.

“The children all had a turn and they were extremely excited to watch it fizz,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Shanice Hall. “They shared the resources and took turns to have a go.”
