Manchester nursery children paint bonfire

Date: 07 Nov 2018

Children at Bright Horizons St Mary’s Day Nursery and Preschool in Hulme, Manchester recently painted their own bonfire as part of the organisation’s Growing Artists enhancement.

After painting the bonfire, staff then helped the children to place cling film over the paint. They then enjoyed a mark making exercise on the cling film which included them forming the letters in their names.

“Painting the bonfire helped the children get into the spirit of Bonfire Night,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Laura Woods.

Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists enhancement aims to encourage creativity in art.
