Finsbury Park nursery receives Good rating from Ofsted
Date: 08 Aug 2018
Bright Horizons Finsbury Park Day Nursery and Preschool has been rated ‘Good’ after its most recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery received its inspection on July 19th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare and Outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included the observing staff’s interactions with children during activities both indoors and outdoors, as well as looking at a range of resources and equipment. Comments from the report included:
- The manager and staff work closely with parents to support children to develop. Parents are updated about their child’s progress and are part of their child’s learning. Parents take part in enjoyable activities at the nursery, such as Father and Grandfather Day. They are invited to view the art exhibition and fathers cook for the Easter party.
- Staff support children’s physical development well. Both young babies and older children move freely with pleasure and confidence. All children enjoy access to the well-resourced outdoor space helping to support their learning.
- Children are very happy and have established close and caring relationships with staff. They are confident, secure and excited to learn.
“We are pleased that the partnership between parents and staff in how we support the children has been recognised by Ofsted,” said Nursery Manager Tania Patricia Infante da Costa e Silva. “We will always strive for further improvements as we move forward.”
