Bright Horizons Astley garden party

Bright Horizons Astley Day Nursery and Preschool celebrated its re-opening following a full refurbishment this week with a launch garden party.

Numerous families were in attendance as the garden party featured a tombola, raffle, cake stalls and face painting. A total of £250 was also raised for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.

“All the nursery staff were overwhelmed with the support from all of our families and we welcomed lots of new families to the nursery as well,” said Nursery Manager Sarah Jones.

Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis.  They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.

The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
