Rosehill children improve counting skills with coloured balls

Children at Bright Horizons Rosehill Day Nursery and Preschool in Cheltenham have been improving their counting skills recently, in an exercise part of the organisation’s Growing Mathematicians enhancement.

The children used coloured balls to place inside circles which a number of dots within them. They had to place the correct amount of balls in each circle.

“Mathematics is embedded in everything that we do and experience in our day-to-day lives, so we are always looking at innovative ways in which we can help our children to improve this key skill in a fun and exciting way.” said Nursery Manager, Mollie Edmunds.

Bright Horizons’ Growing Mathematicians enhancement aims to emphasise the importance of mathematics in a child’s everyday life.
