Children at Asquith Windmill Preschool and Day Nursery in Hinckley, Leicestershire recently took part in a mini explosions activity, as part of the organisation’s Growing Scientists programme.
The children used a variety of ingredients and instruments to create a mini volcano. They inserted raisins and watched on as they floated and/or sunk in the mixture.
“The children were very excited to see the volcano effect during the experiment,” said Nursery Manager Cath McElory. “They are already looking forward to more science experiments.”
Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists enhancement aims to help children identify scientific activities that occur in their everyday lives.
