Bright Horizons Cramond Early Learning and Childcare centre in Edinburgh has been rated as ‘Very Good’ for its quality of care and support and quality of environment, in its latest Care Inspectorate report.

The Care Inspectorate states that it is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all children receiving a care service. It checks that services meet the principles of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), a national approach set up by the Scottish Government. Comments within the report included:

  • Children experienced positive transitions between different playrooms, as the arrangements were flexible and taken at the children’s pace.
  • Staff knew the children in their care well and were able to tell us about their needs.
  • Children’s health, well-being and safety were of great importance to the staff team

“We are delighted by the positive comments in our latest Care Inspectorate report,” said Nursery Manager Pauline Cant. “The report outlines our commitment to keeping everyone safe and ensuring a strong connection between staff and children.”
