Bright Horizons Northwick Park Day Nursery and Preschool in Harrow has been rated ‘Good’ after its most recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery received its inspection on January 12th and was rated as ‘Good’ in three out of four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Outcomes for children. It also received an ‘Outstanding’ for Personal development, behaviour and welfare.
Inspection activities included the inspector observing the quality of teaching during activities both indoors and outdoors. Comments from the report included:
- The manager and staff closely monitor individual and different groups of children’s progress. This enables staff to swiftly recognise any gaps in children’s development and provide good support to help children to close gaps and make good progress.
- Staff know the children exceptionally well and establish inspirational and trusting relationships with them. Children have an outstanding level of well-being.
- Partnerships with parents and other professionals are strong. Staff keep parents accurately informed about children’s progress and encourage them to play an active part in children’s ongoing learning.
“We are pleased that the connection between staff and children has been recognised in this positive Ofsted report,” said Nursery Manager Wendy Gore. “We will continue to strive for excellence and make further improvements as we moved forward.”
