Children at Bright Horizons Elsie Inglis Early Learning and Childcare nursery in Edinburgh have recently been embracing a new “all about me” theme which has enabled them to learn more about each other.
The children have been taking part in a variety of activities that has developed both their exploration and technological skills. They used a camera to take photos of each other and then discussed their features and comparisons. They also looked in large mirrors and then used paints to create a collage of their faces.
“Through all the activities so far the children have been very expressive as they share information all about them and have been very enthusiastic to share these learning experiences with their parents at pick-up times,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Kate Hubbert.
