Bright Horizons East Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool has been rated ‘Good’ after its most recent Ofsted inspection.

The nursery received its inspection on January 24th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.

Inspection activities included the inspector observing the staff interacting with children and assessed the impact on children’s learning. Comments from the report included:

  • Staff get to know the children well and establish secure and trusting relationships with them. Children have a good sense of belonging and a positive level of well-being.
  • Children have good opportunities to develop their mathematical skills. For instance, younger children enjoy number songs and older children confidently complete sums.
  • Staff are positive role models. Children are polite and behave well. For example, all children say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ without being reminded.

“We are pleased the strong connection between children and staff at our nursery has been recognised in this positive Ofsted report,” said Nursery Manager Libby Williams. “We will continue to strive for excellence and make further improvements as we moved forward.”
