Dyce children experiment with ice to make mock lollipops
Date: 12 Feb 2018
Children at Bright Horizons Dyce Early Learning and Childcare centre in Aberdeen have been showing a keen interest in ice recently after finding large pieces in the nursery garden.
The children decided create their own lollipops by using sticks and dye to give the ice colour. They also inserted coloured compare bears into the ice and put them into the freezer.
“Once frozen the children experimented with different temperatures of water to see which would melt the ice faster to release the bears,” said Nursery Manager Nikki Black. “The children had great fun watching the colours mix together to create new ones.”
