elsie inglis mark making

Children at Bright Horizons Elsie Inglis Early Learning and Childcare nursery in Edinburgh have been showing a keen interest in mark making recently, so staff have been looking at and focusing on different ways they can support the children to be creative learners.

Last week, the children painted on cling film using a table upside down as an art easel. The children chose their own colours and shared descriptions of what they painted,

“Providing the children with different activities helps keep their interests active and helps promote our growing artists initiative,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Kate Hubbert.
