Bright Horizons Asquith Cheshunt Pre-School and Day Nursery has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ after receiving its recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery received its inspection on November 17th and was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included the inspector observing the quality of teaching during activities and assessing the impact this had on children’s learning. Comments from the Ofsted report included:
- Staff promote children’s independence superbly. They plan the enabling environments meticulously to support learning. Even very young children learn how to competently find their own plate and sit at the table in preparation for mealtimes.
- Children develop extremely strong attachments with staff. They look to them for support as they settle in to the nursery. Older children are very keen to invite staff to join in with activities. Staff deployment is effective and children are supervised exceptionally well at all times.
- Record keeping and monitoring of staff practice is scrupulous. The manager ensures that policies and procedures are consistently updated in line with current legislation.
“We couldn’t be more delighted with the recent Outstanding inspection grading,” said Nursery Manager Charlotte Gould. “It is a pleasure to be part of an inspirational team who deliver exceptional childcare on a daily basis. I would like to personally thank the staff team and our parents for their continued support and commitment to Cheshunt Pre-School and Day Nursery.”
