elsie inglis st andrews day

Children at Bright Horizons Elsie Inglis Early Learning and Childcare nursery in Edinburgh have been taking part in a range of themed activities to celebrate St Andrew’s Day.

The children have been exploring a variety of images of tartan, the Saltire and others close links to Scotland such as its famous castles and palaces. From this, they went on to create their own collages using different artistic materials.

“We have displays up in nursery to share the learning and the fun experiences that the children have been involved in with parents,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Kate Hubbert. “The children in preschool also enjoyed learning a little about bagpipes and Edinburgh Castle and watched a small clip of the Royal Military Tattoo as their interests in Edinburgh continue to grow.”
