Children at Bright Horizons East India Dock Preschool in London recently visited the nearby Museum of Docklands.

The children took part in a workshop on the history of the warehouse building in which the museum is now located. They learned that items shipped from China, such as silk and tea, were stored in the warehouse.

“They found out where China is located on the map and took part in an interactive activity to ship the items all the way from China to London, which took many months,” said Nursery Manager Alexandra Keys. “Some of the children even got involved in a role play story and dressed up.”
