Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park Day Nursery and Preschool has been rated ‘Good’ after its most recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery received its inspection on October 12th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included Nursery Manager Nikki Brunton taking part in two joint observations with the inspectors and furthermore the inspectors speaking to parent and taking account of their views through written feedback. Comments from the report included:
- Children benefit from a stimulating, well-resourced nursery. Outdoors play is always available and even babies relish their time in the fresh air. Staff genuinely enjoy playing with the children and enhance their learning effectively at every opportunity.
- Strong parental partnerships are valued at the nursery. From the very beginning, parents are encouraged to share information about what children know and can do.
- Monitoring of children’s development is good and managers quickly identify where individuals or groups of children need more support. Where necessary, help from outdoors professionals is used to ensure children make good possible.
“We are thrilled to read so many positive comments in our most recent Ofsted report,” said Brunton. “My team have worked immensely hard and it’s great to see that their passion and enthusiasm has been recognised and rewarded in such a way. Our focus now is to continue to offer exceptional care and education to our families on Cambridge Science Park.”
