Bright Horizons Wembley Nursery and Preschool has been rated ‘Good’ in its recent Ofsted inspection.

The nursery received its inspection on October 13th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Outcomes for children; Personal development, behaviour and welfare.

Inspection activities included the inspector talking to staff, children and parents to gather their views as well as observing different activities including outdoor play. Comments from the report included:

  • Staff work effectively with parents. Parents say they receive regular, good-quality, information about their children’s learning and development. They praise the support they receive in extending their children’s learning at home. This provides continuity for children.
  • The nursery has a wide range of interesting and easily accessible resources. Children are supported in becoming motivated and independent learners.
  • Children are supported in developing the skills they need for the next stage in their learning. They can carry out simple acts of self-care and are well prepared for school.

“We’re pleased to have attained this positive report from Ofsted,” said Nursery Manager Karren Thompson.  “We look forward to continuing our positive programme of education and enhancing the learning of our children at the nursery.”
