summerfields braielle

Children at Bright Horizons Summerfields Day Nursery and Preschool in Wilmslow were recently visited by a parent to explain about the job he does to help people who are unable to see.

The children enjoyed exploring Braille and learning how the raised dots can be read using your fingers by people who are blind or have low vision. The children also had the opportunity to type their name out using a machine.

“The children were so intrigued and engaged throughout,” said Kate Smithers, nursery manager.
