Children at Bright Horizons Sale Day Nursery and Preschool have hosted a Halloween themed Ugly Bug Ball to raise money for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
The children dressed up and the nursery was turned into a spooky house. A bake sale, tombola, arts and crafts and guess the bear were among the activities that resulted in the nursery raising £400 for the foundation.
“The children also enjoyed tory time with Sue from the nursery,” said Jenni McDougall, nursery manager. “Thank you to all the staff and families who joined this great event and helped raise money for a very worthy cause.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
