This year, children at Bright Horizons Fleet Day Nursery and Preschool in Hampshire decided to combine their Diwali celebrations with a baking week.
The children baked a variety of goods as part of the Creative Cooks enhancement including cornflake cakes, naan bread and cakes in ice cream cones. They also took part in a Bollywood dancing session and then learned all about Diwali and its traditions.
“The children once again proved their excellent baking skills and they were really keen to celebrate and learn more about Diwali,” said Nursery Manager Toni Kirby.
Bright Horizons Creative Cooks enhancement aims to encourage creativity in cooking.
