Bright Horizons’ Recruitment Initiative Shortlisted For Prestigious Award

Bright Horizons’ recruitment initiative shortlisted for prestigious award

Date: 03 Oct 2017

Bright Horizons Family Solutions has been announced as a finalist for the Nursery Recruitment Initiative Award at the 15th annual National NMT Nursery Awards.

The Recruitment Initiative Award recognises an organisation which has developed a highly successful initiative to improve recruitment and retention and Bright Horizons has been selected following the launch of its innovative new programme, Bright Start. Bright Start, launched in August, offers flexible employment to early years practitioners. Team members are able to support a group of nurseries in their local area and self-select the number of days and hours they wish to work each week, all the while receiving ongoing training, benefits and development opportunities as other Bright Horizons colleagues.

“We are delighted that Bright Start has been announced as a finalist for this prestigious award with NMT,” said John Handley, Director of Human of Resources at Bright Horizons. “We started Bright Start with the knowledge that the employment market has undergone a radical shift in recent years and we need to build our employment offer with this in mind. Through Bright Start, we have built something special and something we will continue to evolve.”

The award itself is designed to recognise the individual or organisation which has developed a highly successful initiative that can be shown to have improved their recruitment and/or retention.

Winners of the NMT Nursery Awards 2017 will be presented with their trophies by Ben Fogle at the high profile Gala Night held on Saturday 25th November at the London Hilton Metropole Hotel, attended by over 500 guests.

The NMT Nursery Awards is an annual event organised by Nursery Management Today, the leading business publication in the nursery sector and sponsored by key companies providing services in the sector. The Awards are designed to reward excellence in childcare and celebrate the very best people and practices in the nursery sector.

There were 18 categories to enter overall this year, with were four or five finalists in each. All finalists will meet with three independent judges for each category on October 9th at the Awards’ Judging Day at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel.
