Date: 18 Oct 2017
Bright Horizons Livingston Early Learning and Childcare nursery has been rated as ‘Very Good’ for its quality of care and support and quality of environment, in its latest Care Inspectorate report.
The Care Inspectorate states that it is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all children receiving a care service. It checks that services meet the principles of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), a national approach set up by the Scottish Government. Comments within the report included:
- Children were nurtured as staff recognised the importance of comforters and transitional objects in ensuring the children’s emotional wellbeing.
- Staff displayed respect for children’s play over basic care routines, contributing to children’s positive outcomes and their success.
- Very good links established with the local community included staff representation on a local environmental group, community competitions and others links such as Forth Fisheries.
“We are really pleased with the positive comments in our latest Care Inspectorate report which makes for good reading,” said Nursery Manager Jackie Simpson. “We pride ourselves on our welcoming, friendly atmosphere at the nursery and will to continue to uphold and enhance this. Thank you to the continued hard work of our amazing staff team.”
