Manchester children visited by guide dog

Date: 29 Sep 2017

Children at Bright Horizons Manchester Day Nursery and Preschool were excited to be recently visited by a guide dog.

Iris, a dog from Guide Dogs for the Blind, arrived at the nursery with a volunteer who explained to the children what guide dogs do and how they are able to help the blind. The children also sang some of their songs to Iris.

“The children loved meeting Iris and were taught how to safely approach him and pat him with an adult’s permission first,” said Nursery Manager Chloe Barwick.
