Bright Horizons Asquith Kingswood Day Nursery in Hull has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ after receiving its recent Ofsted inspection report.
The nursery received its inspection on August 16th and was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included the inspector observing the quality of the teaching both indoors and outdoors, as well as speaking to a number of parents. Comments from the report included:
- Managers are inspirational leaders. Their enthusiasm, passion and high expectations cross all areas of the setting. They show an exemplary drive for ongoing development and continual improvements. This results in all staff being highly motivated and enthusiastic about their work with children and their families.
- Staff are highly skilled and responsive to children’s needs. This helps to ensure children form secure attachments to their key person. Staff find out what children know and can do well, before they start the nursery. Children settle extremely quickly into the setting.
- Partnerships with parents are exceptional. Parents comment on the excellent support they receive from staff. They have regular updates on their child’s progress and very much enjoy supporting their children’s learning and growing independence at home.
“Myself and the team at Kingswood are extremely proud of achieving Outstanding in our recent Ofsted inspection,” said Nursery Manager Lindsey West. “We thrive on providing the highest quality childcare and knowing that we make a difference in a child’s early years of development means so much to us. For this to be recognised was the icing on the cake and we will continue to provide outstanding care and education.”
