First Class care for injured bird at local nursery

Children at Bright Horizons First Class Nursery in Aberdeen recently took part in their routine garden check, accompanied by their health and safety mascot Candy Floss, where they discovered an injured bird.

The children found that the bird couldn’t fly away due to an injured wing, so staff quickly called the Scottish SPCA rescue.

“We realised the bird had a poorly wing,” said Nursery Manager, Corrie Kitching. “Jane, a member of our staff team, phoned the SSPCA who sent out an officer to collect the bird and explain to the children how they’ll make him better.”
