Bright Horizons Asquith Epsom Day Nursery has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ after receiving its recent Ofsted inspection report.
The nursery received its inspection on August 10th and was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included the inspector looking at samples of children’s records and planning documentation, as well as speaking to a number of parents. Comments from the report included:
- Children who have special educational needs are extremely well supported. Early intervention by specialist staff ensures each child receives the support they need to reach their full potential. The close partnerships with parents and other professionals significantly contribute to ensuring children’s ongoing needs are effectively met.
- Staff have an excellent knowledge about individual children and have high expectations of what they can achieve. They provide rich, varied and imaginative experiences, such as experiments with ice, so that children are motivated and inquisitive learners.
- The managers consistently seek, evaluate and act on the views of staff, children and the parents to continually drive improvement. Plans for the future are well targeted to maintain outstanding practice.
“We are extremely proud to have been awarded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted for the second times and we are delighted the team have once again been recognised for their commitment, dedication and enthusiasm in delivering exceptional, care and education to every child every day,” said Nursery Manager Laura Millward.
