London nursery raises money for foundation with Jeans Day
Date: 29 Sep 2017
Bright Horizons East India Dock Preschool in London held a charity Jeans Day last Friday in order to raise money for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
On the day, the children took part in a variety of themed activities that were themed around jeans and the colour blue. They took part in a photoshoot, decorated jeans, decorated biscuits and also had their faces painted. A total of £300 was raised for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
“The children also sold things they had made themselves including bracelets, photo frames and cakes,” said Nursery Manager Alexandra Keys. “Thank you to all of the parents for their generous donations.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
