Children at Bright Horizons Dyce Early Learning and Childcare centre in Aberdeen recently discovered centipedes and woodlice, after a parent brought some in from his home garden.

The children observed both types of insects and were fascinated as to discover how fast the centipedes moved. They also pointed out the shell on the back on the woodlice.

“The children are always keen to learn more about different species,” said Nursery Manager Rhona Jamieson. “We spoke about how many legs each of the bugs have.”
