Fleet nursery children embrace cooking programme
Date: 15 Sep 2017
Children at Bright Horizons Fleet Day Nursery and Preschool in Hampshire have been taking full part in the organisation’s Creative Cooks enhancement in recent times, by making a variety of edible treats.
Staff led children in an activity to make fresh pizzas where the children learned how to prepare fruit and vegetables independently. They also made what is known at the nursery as their trademark magic wands which saw them dip breadsticks into melting chocolate and cover in sprinkles.
“Here at Bright Horizons, we believe it is very important to get the children cooking and using fresh ingredients from a young age and instilling the love of good foods,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Kelly Smith.
Bright Horizons’ Creative Cooks enhancement aims to encourage creativity in cooking.
