Children at Bright Horizons Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool in Egham, Surrey have been experimenting with ice as part of the organisation’s Growing Scientists enhancement.
The children discussed what the ice felt like, how quickly it melted and what happened as it melted.
“The children enjoyed pouring warm water over the ice, watching the steam come off and observing how it helped melt the ice quicker,” said Charlotte Martin, acting deputy nursery manager.
Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists enhancement aims to help children identify scientific activities that occur in their everyday lives.
