Bright Horizons Asquith Chingford Pre-School and Day Nursery has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ after receiving its recent Ofsted inspection report.
The nursery received its inspection on July 4th and was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included the inspector observing activities and daily routines across five rooms as well as outside, also carrying out a joint observation with the nursery manager. Comments from the report included:
- All children make rapid progress in their development. The high level of care nurtures children’s love of learning. Children thoroughly enjoy rich and varied play experiences planned to meet all their individual learning needs.
- Partnerships with parents and other professionals are exemplary. Together they provide excellent additional support for children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. Those children benefit extremely well from the individual attention they receive.
- Staff know children really well. They gather detailed information from parents about what children already know and can do across all areas of learning and development. They use this information alongside their own observations to assess and meticulously plan for children’s individual needs.
“This report proves the hard work all the staff put into our children and the nursery on a daily basis and I am delighted for each and every person involved,” said Nursery Manager Sarah Garner. “That hard work and dedication by all has really paid off with this wonderful recognition from Ofsted.”
