Children at Bright Horizons Timperley Day Nursery and Preschool in Cheshire recently celebrated moon day as part of the organisation’s Growing Scientists enhancement.
The children took part in a variety of themed activities, set up by the staff, to help them learn more about the moon and space in line with their science programme.
“The children thought space and the moon was cold and icy, therefore the practitioners decided to build on this idea and provide ice painting for the children to paint their own planets,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Emma Dunsmore. “This was one of the themed activities set up by staff.”
Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists enhancement aims to help children identify scientific activities that occur in everyday life.
