Bright Horizons Asquith Caterham Pre-School and Day Nursery has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ after receiving its most recent Ofsted inspection report, in what was also an improvement from the previous one four years ago.
The nursery received its inspection on May 30th and was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included talking to staff and evaluating their understanding of how to keep the children safe and what they do to promote each child’s development. Comments from the report directly included the following:
- The nursery provides an exemplary level of care for children. Meticulous attention is given towards keeping children safe.
- Children make exceptional progress in their learning and development, including those who need extra support.
- Stringent arrangements are in place to make sure nursery practice continually improves. The leadership team has high aspirations and incisively identifies ways to make the nursery even better.
“The whole team at Caterham Day Nursery feels proud and happy to have achieved an Outstanding,” said Nursery Manager Lisa Woodley. “All the girls work so hard and have a strong passion and commitment to child care, which is why we are so excited to be called an ‘Outstanding’ nursery. Every team member here works together to provide an outstanding level of care, comfort and education to all the children and we are really happy to have achieved what we have.”
