Manchester children have fun planting vegetables

Children at Bright Horizons Manchester Day Nursery and Preschool have recently enjoyed planting their own vegetables, in an imitative part of the organisation’s Green Gardeners’ enhancement.

The children planted a variety of different vegetables in the nursery garden and will now look to get outside each day and ensure they are looked after. They will watch the vegetables grow over the forthcoming months whilst enjoying some outdoor play and learning.

“The children thoroughly enjoyed planting the vegetables and are looking forward to watching them grow,” said Nursery Manager Chloe Barwick. “Now is the perfect time to visit our Manchester nursery as we have just put in place our fee decrease to ensure we are always competitive, but still provide a high quality service for our children and our families.”

Bright Horizons’ Green Gardeners enhancement aims to provide children with opportunities to interact with the natural world around them.
