Bright Horizons Teddies Sutton Nursery has been rated ‘Good’ in its recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery received its inspection on March 8th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Outcomes for children; Personal development, behaviour and welfare.
Inspection activities included the inspector observing the children when they were engaged in activities and staff’s interactions with them, as well as holding a meeting with the management team. Comments from the report included:
- Children adopt healthy and safe lifestyle habits. They thoroughly enjoy the snacks and meals, and take part in a good deal of physical exercise and activities outdoors. They know how to use scissors safely, what to do in events of a fire and how to behave on outings.
- Children’s behaviour is exemplary. They are kind and considerate towards each other and play incredibly cooperatively together. For example, pre-school children fetch tissues for their friends and share toys.
- Staff provide exceptionally good opportunities for babies and toddlers to develop pretend-play skills. The home corners are very well equipped and presented to inspire their interest and to enable them to act out their real experiences.
“We’re really pleased to have received another positive report from Ofsted,” said Nursery Manager Jo Gregoire. “The report highlights our dedication to safety and the commitment of our staff to provide engaging opportunities for the children every day.”
