Guildford nursery children create scarecrow for themed festival

Date: 09 May 2017

Children and staff at Bright Horizons Starfish Day Nursery and Preschool in Guildford have created their very own scarecrow.

The children will showcase their scarecrow “Freddy the Goalkeeper” at the Hoebridge School Dingle Dangle Scarecrow Festival. They also used the scarecrow as a goalkeeper as they played football, in an exercise part of the Bright Horizons Active Athletes enhancement.

"We were delighted with the children’s attention to detail and we are all very proud of Freddy that we’ve created,” said Nursery Manager Rebecca Pinnels. “We look forward to showcasing him at the festival.”

The Active Athletes enhancement aims to provide children with the opportunity to take part in physical activity.
