Bright Horizons East India Dock Day Nursery in London has been rated ‘Good’ in its recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery received its inspection on February 28th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Outcomes for children; Personal development, behaviour and welfare.
Inspection activities included the inspectors speaking with parents and taking account of their views, as well as undertaking a joint observation with Nursery Manager Alexandra Keys. Comments from the report included:
- Leaders and managers have taken effective steps to tackle areas for improvement. The manager motivates staff and monitors the quality of teaching well.
- Staff give parents daily feedback about their children’s care and learning. Parents attend regular reviews of their children’s progress and any support required is put in place.
- Children are cared for by familiar adults, who provide continuity in their care and learning; consequently, children are well settled and secure.
“We’re really pleased to have received this positive report from Ofsted,” said Keys. “We are very proud of our achievement and are eager to continue enhancing the lives and learning of our children at the nursery.”
